Student Activities Fund 2016-2017
Dear Students,
You are eligible to receive grants of up to 500 BGN for your extracurricular projects and activities, administered by the Student Activities Fund (SAF).
The second deadline for applications is Feb 12, 2017, and the application form is attached below.
SAF was founded by members of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and the Alumni Fund Advisory Committee (AFAC) at ACS. Since last year it is also receiving a generous donation by FiBank.
SAF awarded approximately 2500 BGN in grants last fall alone.
The opportunity is open to all student activities, clubs and athletic teams at ACS, as well as seniors pursuing independent honors projects.
This year FiBank is especially encouraging student applications related to: 1) promoting wider participation in sports and athletics (charity sports events, open tournaments, etc); 2) improving financial literacy among ACS students and students and young people in general.
The last funding round will be limited to SIHP proposals and will take place in June 2017.
Attached please find the latest and final documents that are being distributed as part of announcing the SAF's Spring 2017 funding round. The Powerpoint Presentation goes into more details about the fund and timetables. The Word document is the student application that must be completed and information on how to submit the form.
The SAF committee will consist of parents, alumni, faculty, Student Council reps, the Dean of Students, and representatives of FiBank.
Below is the time table for the fall funding round.
1. Submission deadline: 12 Feb 2017 (Sun) at midnight
2. Shortlisted projects announced: 20 Feb 2017 (Mon)
3. Proposal defense: 24 Feb 2017 (Fri)
