Hristo Papazov Wins the (Winter Math) Day

Hristo Papazov 12/3 took second place in the prestigious Winter Math Days competition. A joint venture by the Ministry of Education and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the tournament is one of the three top math competitions in this country: its ranking is instrumental in forming the national teams for the International Math Olympiad, the Balkan Math Olympiad, and the Junior Balkan Math Olympiad.

311 students from 17 schools competed in the Winter Math Days over the last weekend. With his second place, Hristo is on his way to joining the national team, again.
