THREE ACS MEDAL-WINNERS MEET PRESIDENT PLEVNELIEV

On December 16, the Third Olympic Meeting of the members of the national student science teams with Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev took place. Three ACS students, well-known in the ACS community for their successes in science, were among the invited: Viktor Kouzmanov 12/4, Konstantin Karchev 11/4, and Mihaela Zaharieva from the Class of 2013.

Rosen Plevneliev congratulated the young scientists for a very successful year: in 2013, Bulgarian national science teams won 65 medals and certificates of honor in total at the international science competitions. Three medals were in mathematics, five in physics, two in chemistry, seven in linguistics, and six in astronomy. “All these successes are thanks to the year-round efforts of the teachers, the scholars, of all educators engaged in your preparation and the national teams’ selection”, stated the President of Bulgaria in his speech.

Congratulations to all young scientists of Bulgaria! We are looking forward to hearing more great news from you in 2014.
