The Despair Not Show
Stanislav Stratiev was a master of exposing the absurdity of true things. Which would make his writing very sad – but thankfully, it was very funny.
Stratiev reveled in this, and kids have a natural flair for it: the greatest insights sound silly and the simplest observations are profound. Kids hit those notes naturally, chaotically, unaware.
High marks then to the BG Drama Club for turning those kids with their chaotic instincts into actors with professional focus, in control of their craft and the play's message. It was a transformation worth witnessing. And very funny.
