Success in German Language for the American College
1502 students representing 61 schools from all over the country competed in the first of two qualification rounds at the International German Olympics (IDO) for levels А2 for those who study German as their second foreign language and B2 for those who study it as their first foreign language for 9th and 10th graders.
51 students from 25 schools took part in the second round aimed for level A2 students. The competition took place on 24 March in Goethe-Institut, here in Sofia. The College was represented by Violeta Ivanovska (10/3), who had the full set of points, Maria Zlatkova (10/1), Martina Ivanova (9/2) and Simona Benatova (9/3). At the national round Maria Zlatkova ranked first and will be the only student representing our country at the international round in Frankfurt/Main. Martina Ivanova ranked second and Violeta Ivanovska – third.
