Sofia Athletic Competition

The ACS Boys' and Girls' athletic teams (8th-10th graders) participated in Sofia Athletic competition last week with great success.

Our boys missed the third place only by 1 point and took the 4th place out of 10 teams. This year professional athletes were allowed to participate in the competition, which made the achievement of our boys even more valuable.

In individual events the boys won 3 medals - bronze medal for Kiril Krantchev (100 m), bronze medal for our team (Viktor Braykov, Vladimir Turkedjiev, Kristian Kokinov, 4x100 relay race), and silver medal for Kristiyan Kokinov (400 m run). The other team members - Veselin Nedelchev, KaloyanTenev, and Dimitar Vangelov (9th grade), also earned points for the team competition.

The Girls’ team participated for the very first time. The members of the team, who are in 8th and 9th grade, did very well - they took 6th place out of 10 teams. Team members are: Nia Dobreva, Spasiana Dimitrova, Nadezhda Ivanova, Teodora Borilova, Borislava Nikolova from 8th grade, and Marta Koleva and Lilia Valcheva from 9th grade. All of them earned points for the team competition and contributed to the overall success.
