Senior Awards 2017

The Departmental Awards were presented to students of the Class of 2017 at their Senior Dinner, held on May 19 and the special awards - at their Commencement Ceremonies the following day.

Maria-Nikol Staykova received the Bulgarian Language and Literature Department Award.

Alexandra Baranova was presented with the English Language and Literature Department award.

Bogdan Rizov got the Foreign Languages Department Award.

The recipient of  the Liberal and Fine Arts was Yoanna Lazarova.

The Math Department had an especially tough job choosing whom to give their Department Award so they did the best thing there is to do awarding both Ivan Ganev and Hristo Papazov.

Ivan Vlaykov received the Science Department Award.

The Sports Department Award recipient was Gabriela Aleksova.

ACS musical star Kosara Tsoneva received the Arts Program Award.

Christakis Kkisia was presented with the IB Program Award.

At the Graduation Ceremonies on May 20, Nikol Kralimarkova received the Irwin T. Sanders Award for Service, presented to a student who has made a great contribution to the student life in and oustide the College.

The Margaret R. Sanders Award for Student Life was presented to Nilofar (Nelly) Afzali.

The Floyd Black Award for was presented to Yoanna Lazarova and Ivan Vlaykov for their hard work, honesty, respect, responsibility, and love for learning.

This year's Valedictorian Award was presented to Kosara Tsoneva with grade point avarage 6.00 for grades 9 through 12.

Kosara, star of five ACS musicals, one for every year she's been at ACS, gave a lovely Valedictorian speech and concluded it singing.
