Dear Parents:

During a regular sports class yesterday, a student from 8/8 collapsed. Despite immediate CPR by the teacher, nurse, and doctor the boy was pronounced dead a short time later at Greenberg Clinic. We are cooperating with the investigation.

The 8th grade students were informed immediately this morning in an assembly in Whitaker Auditorium. Grades 9-12 were informed in an assembly at the beginning of 2nd period.

Before school all staff met to discuss how to support students this week.

Our school psychologist and counsellors are available all day for students in the counsellors’ office area in the Arts Building.

The Open House for Saturday is cancelled out of respect for our student’s family.

We would like to express our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased boy.

Sincerely,

Paul K. Johnson
President
The American College of Sofia”
