Ivan Ivanov and Milen Ferev Awarded by Academy of Sciences
Does this picture look familiar? Yes, the boys have done it again. Just like last year, Ivan Ivanov and Milen Ferev won citations from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences for projects that we, mortals, can't fully comprehend but are awed by nevertheless.
At the annual awards by the Academy of Sciences' Student Institute, Ivan won first prize for his "Improving the productivity of unified recurrent neuron networks and their application to the problem of automated text recognition" project.
Milen won a special prize for his "Exploring various methods of intertext correlation recognition" project.
Dr. Richard Ewing, Jr. presented the two 12th graders with the diplomas on behalf of Yulian Revalski, the Chairman of the Academy. Congratulations, Ivan and Milen, you make us proud. Again.
