Future Leaders

Democracy in action entails willing participation, a lot of enthusiasm, some populism. We witnessed all of those in front of Sanders Hall at the speeches of the candidates for Student Council. 


The contenders: 10 president-VP couples, two secretaries and two treasurers, took to the Sanders steps and addressed their 525-strong constituency. Whether tongue-in-cheek or heart-on-sleeve, the candidates made their bid for the student leadership.


Polling commences. The results will be announced Friday – on the Sanders steps.
