First Day of School

On September 16, students, teachers, and parents gathered together to celebrate the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year.

Dr. Paul Johnson, President of ACS, officially welcomed the students at the Whitaker Auditorium. Dr. Johnson introduced the new faculty and staff members. The preps were introduced on stage after their first group photo as members of the ACS community. The audience warmly and loudly applauded the 164 students from the Class of 2018.

After the traditional all-school photo in front of Ostrander Hall, the Blocks gathered in front of the Gym for the Blocks’ flags presentation. It was followed by the Black Cup presentation to the winner of last year’s Block competition. The new winner was Magma with Block Leader Mr. Hristo Hristov. Congratulations!

To all ACS students, parents, teachers, and staff members – the best of luck and a lot of success for the new 2013-2014 school year!
