ACS Business Club Seminars Empower the Next Generation

Did you know that 70% of students feel anxious about making the right career choice?

Given today’s changing mindsets and workforce dynamics, it’s no surprise that young people need support in overcoming work-related fear.

With practice-oriented seminars and novel opportunities for ACSers to build connections with professionals, at ACS there are many opportunities for students to receive guidance and help navigating such questions (often with no clear answers).

One such opportunity were the seminars that the Business Club alongside ACS Entrepreneurship teacher Stanislav Maleshkov '02 hosted in November, with the participation of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, and representatives from A1, IBM, and the Bulgarian Actuary Association.

The seminars covered important topics related to career orientation, self-presentation, job search and selection, as well as information on the perhaps less known Actuary profession and a list of the career opportunities in the professional field.

The events expanded upon the attendees’ knowledge and proved to be a major success, attracting a large number of both students and faculty members interested in the field of Business and professional development.
