Bulgarian Volleyball Star Gives Out Kits for the New Season

On May 4, the captain of the Bulgarian national volleyball team Vladimir Nikolov visited the College and presented personally to the ACS volleyball teams their new kits, full sets for both boys and girls, for season 2016/17. Special thanks to Fibank, famous for their support of sports and student initiatives, for donating the kits!

On the day of the event the Concert Hall started filling up even before the end of classes. We overheard the hitter who can jump 345 cm is stuck in traffic on his way but no one had any intentions of leaving. When his outstanding figure made it to the Concert Hall it was as if it filled up. Later, it was established that there is a student at the College, and present at the event, taller than Nikolov. Find the proof in the pictures.

The captain of the Bulgarian national team told the College volleyball players of his recent project, a volleyball school with 260 students enrolled so far, 170 of them high-school kids and younger. Nikolov made sure to stress the importance of sports practice, healthy eating habits, and exercise in general.

As of recently, Nikolov is coaching the junior Bulgarian national team. This Sunday, May 8, he will take part in a special benefit match, his last one as a player. We are thankful to him for finding time in his busy schedule to come meet in person the ACS volleyball players!
