At the American College of Sofia (ACS), we believe that financial constraints should never be a barrier to education. Our Needs-Based Tuition Reduction Program ensures that accepted Bulgarian students from all backgrounds have the opportunity to study at ACS, regardless of their family’s financial standing.
Through the generosity of trustees, alumni, parents, and friends of the College, ACS provides a range of tuition reductions—from partial fee adjustments to full, five-year scholarships. For the 2024-2025 school year, we awarded over 2.36 million leva in tuition reductions, supporting 85% of all applicants who demonstrated financial need.
Our tuition reduction program is comprehensive, fair, and dynamic. Each year, we evaluate applicants based on family income, assets, and other relevant financial factors, ensuring that our support reaches those who need it most. Families from outside Sofia may also qualify for additional reductions to help offset their higher living expenses.
