Arts Fest 2016
Not only did our artists excel and our clubs intrigue and our students amaze, but they had FUN FUN FUN doing it! It's the idea behind our College's Arts Fest and boy did it come to pass!
Last Saturday the weather was beautiful and so were the many students, parents, alumni, and friends of the College who came to celebrate with us.
The opening show was a Guys and Dolls medley in the Concert Hall. After that, the Concert Hall Showcase attracted many guests who enjoyed the performances of the BG Drama Club, the ACS English Drama/Musical Club, as well as of some individual performers. The Fountain Magazine organized a literary reading on the Stage of Life in Dafina Garden.
The Dance Program Fahrenheit 451 let it rip in the Dance Hall. And if for some insane reason you missed their show, here is your chance to see it in full bloom: Fahrenheit 451 will be special guests at Ballet Arabesque's provocative production Mirror of Time on the stage of Musical Theatre, Sofia, on June 9th.
The outside activities included entertainments for kids and adults – an inflatable slide, face painting, chess tournament, BBQ, international food sale, and, of course, horseback riding. At the end of the festival, the pop and rock music fans gathered in front of the outdoor stage to enjoy the performances of their favorite ACS bands.
We would like to thank everyone who supported this year’s festival: our student and teacher volunteers, our clubs that donated most of their proceedings to the ACS Scholarship Fund, our parents and the PTA. Last but not least, we are all very grateful to the companies, organizations, and individuals who supported the festival with prizes for the raffle, this year providing over a hundred prizes. Once again, thanks everyone for being part of Arts Fest 2016!
