American Astronaut Marsha Ivins Visited Our School

This special event was organized with assistance from the Cultural Affairs Office of the American Embassy in Sofia.

Ms. Ivins has made five space flights and logged over 1,300 hours in space. She attended an all-school assembly and presented many interesting facts about the space programs of the world and the United States. What really impressed the students was the amazing photos of the Earth taken by the astronauts, as well as the details Ms. Ivins shared with us about the life and work in the absence of gravity. The students asked many questions - for example, how hard it is to become an astronaut. At the
end of the meeting, Ms. Ivins wished all the students who want to follow her steps to fulfill their dream.
