ACSers Participated in a Literary Competition
Senior Teodora Nikolova and 9th-grader Vladimir Gospodinov received special mentions at the eight edition of the student literary competition The Spines of the Hedgehog, organized by the Mormarevi Brothers Foundation.
A record number of participants marked this year’s competition: a total of 189 students from all over Bulgaria participated with a total of 269 literary works. Teodora and Vladimir were among the students who were awarded special mention for their high-quality fiction.
We asked Teodora what writing meant to her. Here is what she shared: “For me writing is a way of self-expression, of communicating my ideas and my understanding of the world to the people around me, to share myself with them. It's a huge part of me as a person. There is so much beauty in the world that everyone sees differently.Through my writing, I try to share the beautiful around me with others and hope that they will be able to see it too, and through that, understand me better”.
