ACS Students Support the One in Eight Initiative

Two initiatives of three ACS student clubs, related to the International Women's Day were held in the days leading to and on March 8. The March 8th Fundraiser, launched by the 3-in-1 Club in 2023, now a tradition, was joined by the Touch My Heart Club  this year, while the Keep Our Planet Alive Club held a Women's Day Bazaar. At the bazaar, hand-made crafts such as themed jewelry, cards, magnets and frames, as well as home-made sweets were sold. Together, the three clubs raised 1,450 leva that they donated to the foundation "One in Eight", supporting women diagnosed with breast cancer and their loved ones.

We extend gratitude to the students of these clubs - and their teacher sponsors - for their dedication to fostering empathy and action. With their initiatives they raised awareness about critical issues like health care access and solidarity and demonstrated how grassroots efforts can amplify global movements toward equity.

Their efforts reflect ACS’s ethos of empowering students to seek student-led solutions to societal challenges. Whether through art, activism, or community events, these initiatives prove that collective action—even at the local level—can drive meaningful change.
