ACS Students Success at the EuroScience Conference 2024
One First, Two Second, and One Third Prize
ACS students from the Particle Physics Club showcased their exceptional talents at the EuroScience Conference held at Tor Vergata University of Rome from March 12th to 16th, 2024.
The conference enabled young researchers, mathematicians, and scientists in high school to present their projects, exchange ideas, and collaborate with peers from around the world. With a diverse array of competitions and workshops tailored to different age groups and interests, the conference aimed to promote academic excellence and interdisciplinary learning.
Among the notable achievements were ACS seniors Desislava Markova ‘24 and Meriem Fereva ‘24, who won the prestigious first prize in the Project Contest with their Physics and Engineering project, titled "The Race Against Drag: The Art of Physics in Formula 1,” and third Prize in the Poster Contest. In addition, ACS juniors Svetoslav Ivanov ‘25 and Yoana Troeva ‘25 impressed the jury with their Applied Mathematics and Civil Engineering paper "Load Simulation Analysis on Vehicle-Bridge Interaction Parameters for Dynamic Amplification and Beam Bridge Performance” and were awarded the seconnd Prize in the Project Contest and second Prize in the Poster Contest.
The conference hosted students from all across Europe as well as some Asian countries and was a great opportunity for all to get outside their comfort zone and explore different ideas and perspectives.
Congratulations and best wishes for continued success to the students from the ACS Particle Physics Club!
