Thank You, dear ACS Parents!
ACS Parent Ambassadors are so very special. An integral part of our community, they recognize the values of the College as their own and readily put in time and energy to help expand opportunities for current and future ACS students.
Their involvement in the efforts around organizing Arts Fest, a community event raising funds for our tuition reduction program, student activities, and sports facilities improvements, began last fall and continued at monthly meetings of this group of dedicated parents with representatives of the campus staff. As the event approached, the meetings became weekly, and the ideas were many, all of them wonderful. Fortunately, enthusiasm was also in abundance.
If you were at Arts Fest, you saw these parents smiling as they sold drinks, cakes, and homemade goodies, ran softball demonstrations and a creative workshop for kids, welcomed guests into the hammock forest, told you all you needed to know about the silent auction or the raffle prizes they donated. The parents of prospective students among you may have asked them questions about the College, and if you did, we are sure you left even more enthused after they told you about the student club or performing arts program their child is involved in. What can't be seen is the time spent baking, carrying things back and forth, and making logistical arrangements, in creative collaboration. And it is priceless.
It's impossible to thank the parents enough, those who supported us and the causes of the event in person at the event and those who did from afar with their gifts, financial or in raffle prizes and silent auction items. But we know that the most important gratitude for parents is their children's inspiring educational experience at ACS. And that it is inspiring is visible in the pride with which students took the role of hosts, alongside their parents and teachers, the enthusiasm with which they engage in community initiatives and even create them.
Dear ACS families, for all you did and do, thank you!
