ACS Ninth-Grader Wins Bronze at International Astronomy Olympiad

Bulgarian students won 3 bronze medals at the 22nd International Astronomy Olympiad. One of them is ACS ninth-grader Todor Kiurkchiev.

Todor ranked first in the National Astronomy Olympiad last spring and became a member of the extended national team.

Over the summer, he qualified for the core team that represented the country at the international competition, which took place October 27 – November 4 in Weihai, China.

Todor and the other two bronze medalists competed against 58 students from 12 countries.
