ACS Joins #UnitedWithUkraine

The American College of Sofia expresses its solidarity with the freedom-loving people of Ukraine. School wide efforts have raised funds and material donations for displaced families in Bulgaria and for the Ukrainian Red Cross. In addition to these efforts, ACS will help displaced Ukrainian students in need of high school education. Depending on availability, class placement is created for students with the necessary English language skills according to the ACS Procedures for Displaced Ukrainian Students. 

The US Embassy in Sofia, The American College of Sofia, the America for Bulgaria Foundation, the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, NuBoyana Film Studios, the American University in Bulgaria, Muzeiko, Teach for Bulgaria, ZaDobroto Foundation, B2Y, Dev.bg and BESCO stand with the people of Ukraine and believe in the power of Bulgaria’s strong spirit of community and solidarity in this time when our democratic societies are under attack.

U.S. and Bulgarian partners have united to assist people displaced from the war. The “United With Ukraine'' portal serves to support displaced persons already in Bulgaria or planning to come to Bulgaria in areas such as housing, childcare, employment and continuing studies for students, among others. On the portal you will find information about ongoing initiatives and all necessary contact information. The portal will be regularly updated with the aim to contribute to the overall efforts taking place in Bulgaria.
