Women in Technology
Whitaker Auditorium
A successful career in computer technology – an impossible dream or an accessible realization? This is a dilemma faced by thousands of talented women and girls around the world. Unfortunately, however, the prejudice that technology is not a vocation for women too often prevails: a mentality inherited from the times when responsibility, analytical and critical thinking were not qualities attributed to women. Women in Technology is an event that aims to refute these myths and give young women confidence in their interest in technology.
The ACS Teach for Bulgaria Club and The Women Who Code Organization invite you to hear the stories of 5 successful women from the IT industry in Bulgaria, each of them an example that every woman can reveal her potential with a clear goal, confidence, and hard work. This is an opportunity to challenge yourself, get inspired and inspire!
The panelists are Diana Stefanova, until just recently Managing Director of the largest software company in Bulgaria, VMware and Venture Partner in a venture capital fund, BrightCap; Kristina Stoitsova, technology leader with over 20 years of experience in companies such as Financial Times and VMware; Rumyana Mitreva, R&D Director at Broadcom Software and previously at KPMG; Ioana Boyanova, Manager at Broadcom and part of the Women Who Code organization in Sofia; Paulina Chotrova, previously Microsoft, currently active in 3 technology companies, one of which is a startup, experienced in DeepTech.
Coming up on March 26 at 6:30pm at the American College of Sofia, in the Whitaker Auditorium. Spots are limited, so don't miss the opportunity to register for the event HERE.
