WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL
On September 15th students, teachers, and many parents gathered together to celebrate the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year.
Dr. Paul Johnson, President of ACS, officially welcomed all students at the Whitaker Auditorium. Dr. Johnson introduced the new faculty members, Block leaders, and CAS coordinators. The preps were introduced on stage after their first group photo as members of the ACS community. The audience warmly and loudly applauded the 186 students from the Class of 2019. Rosen Vutov, Vice President of Student Council, presented the Prep Class Flag to a representative from 8th Grade.
The whole school gathered in front of Ostrander Hall for the traditional photo. Dr. Johnson presented the Black Cup to the winner of last year’s Block competition: congratulations, Falcons!
