Prize Winning ACS Teacher

On November 10, ACS math teacher and coach of the table tennis team Ivan Dinkov received the award for winning first place for girls in the Student Games, Sofia 2015. Our girls are champions of Sofia for the third year in a row. They have won two sixth places in republican competitions.

The awards ceremony took place at the Little City Theatre "Off the Channel". Part of the prize was an invitation to the theatre’s "Balkan Syndrome" production. The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Education and Science, the Bulgarian Association of Student Sports, the Deputy Mayor of Sofia Municipality Mr. Todor Chobanov, directors and teachers from educational institutions in our city.

This year’s team of Sofia champions includes: first racket and captain Rumina Georgieva 9/3, Kristina Kapitanova 9/2, Boyana Atanasova 9/4, and Kristina Georgieva 9/8.

As a longtime coach of our table tennis teams, Mr. Ivaylo Dimitrov’s contribution remains invaluable.
