Physics Success
Once again, ACS students demonstrated serious presence among all schools in Bulgaria at the Spring National Physics Competition held in Stara Zagora March 10-11. Moreover, four ACSers qualified for the National Round of the Physics Olympiad.
At the competition in Stara Zagora, our 11th grade team became third in the country while junior Joana Nikolova won second award. 10th grader Nikolay Mitev won first award in his age group, his result ranking him fourth in the country. 9th grader Todor Kiurkchiev won first award in his age group, as well. His fellow 9th grader Konstantin Grozdanov won third award.
Todor Kiurkchiev, Nikolay Mitev, Joana Nikolova, and Nikolay Miladinov qualified for the National Round of the Physics Olympiad. With the maximum amount of points, 30, 9th grader Todor Kiurkchiev was among the top 22 students his age in the country. Nikolay Mitev was among the top 18 in the country among 10th graders. Joana Nikolova and Nikolay Miladinov were in the top 54 students in the Grade 11-12 category.
