College Counselors and Universities Converge on the American College of Sofia
Between May 2 & May 4 the American College of Sofia will welcome representatives from more than 60 higher-education institutions from around the world, as well as more than 50 European high schools for the Regional Institute 2019 of the International Association of College Admission Counseling (IACAC) and College Fair.
This event is the first and one-of-a-kind opportunity for Bulgarian college admissions counselors and high school students across Europe to establish and foster relationships with universities admissions officers from colleges and universities around the world. Additionally, the attending higher-education institutions will obtain a more profound understanding of the European high-school students, their needs, expectations, and challenges whey applying to universities outside of Europe.
Some of the topics offered as in-depth and focused presentations and discussions are: Applying to the US from European schools, Higher Education in German-speaking countries, Female Leadership in Higher Education, Student Funding Opportunities across Europe, and others. On Saturday, May 4, from 3 PM to 5 PM almost 60 pre-registered universities will showcase their higher education opportunities to high schools visitors from all around Bulgaria.
The International Association of College Admission Counseling (IACAC) and College Fair takes place in Bulgaria for the first time and it is a privilege for us at the American College of Sofia to host them. While registration for the Regional Institute is now closed, the College Fair on Saturday, May 4 is open to the public.
