The Gift of Class 2018
As soon as they set foot out the door, they turned right around and gave back to the college. The Class of 2018, merely a couple of months after its graduation, has donated 500 leva to ACS.
Per the donors' wishes, the gift will be used toward "participation of ACS students in international competitions and other events."
In his commencement address to the Class of 2018, Dr. Richard T. Ewing, Jr. said, "Your individual talents as scholars and artists and performers and writers and programmers are so impressive. So, too, is the fact that you have made yourself into a community. Your care and concern for each other and also for our school has deeply impressed our faculty."
And so, the Class of 2018 has proven that observation right, again. ACS has achieved its great success because of the generosity of individuals and organizations that have supported its mission and believed in its people from day one - and now the Class of 2018 has joined that remarkable club.
In the same speech, Dr. Ewing also said, "People like me, my colleagues here at ACS, get into the education business to teach and inspire. And then along the way we encounter such young people as all of you, and we find, in fact, that we are the ones who are taught and inspired."
