Block Day at ACS
On Tuesday, October 14th, ACS students of grades 8-12 participated in activities in the first of this year’s Block Program aimed at building positive relationship between the members of the ACS community and promoting healthy and active lifestyle.
The Blocks travelled to different locations: Dulo and Falcons visited the Krakra Fortress in Pernik, Flaming Tigers – Jivata Voda Cave, Golden Lions and Magma – Ofeli area of Vitosha, and Tangra visited Zemen and Kyustendil. Our seniors from Block Phoenix attended a trip to the National History Museum in Sofia.
Our eighth grade students stayed on campus and took part in a very exciting full-day training program called “The Colonized Island”. The program engaged the students in various outdoor sports and entertainment team-building activities. Probably the task that the preps most enthusiastically joined was the one when the students were divided into nine groups and each group had to make and present a different building. Soon the asphalt field in front of the Bubble was transformed into an island with its own Post Office, City-hall, Zoo, Supermarket, Bank, Juice Bar, Pizzeria, Library, and a School.
