Astounding Success at the 2023 Vienna International Science & Engineering Fair

Students from the American College of Sofia achieved astounding success at the annual Vienna International Science & Engineering Fair this year as well. The adorable robot dog SHARO by Kaloyan Dimitrov ‘25 and Momchil Kolev ‘24 with David Yordanov as a mentor won a Gold Ribbon for superior performance, an award for best in the Physics and Engineering category, as well as a special award for the best project in the senior division. Nikoleta Stoinova '25's Agrophotovoltaic Systems project with mentor Dr. Krasimira Chakarova received a Gold Ribbon for superior performance and an award for best in the Biological and Environmental Sciences category. Omniplantus by Mario Berov '25 and Boris Topalov '24 with David Yordanov as a mentor received an honorable mention with a Red Ribbon in the category Physics and Engineering. Congratulations to all the students for their efforts and results and to their teachers and mentors for their guidance and inspiration.
