ACS MUN Students with Awards from Deutsche Schule Sofia Conference

On November 18-20th, the ACS MUN team took part in the annual Deutsche Schule Sofia Model United Nations Conference. The ACS delegation consisting of 15 club members engaged in active debate and discussion in the MUN General Assembly on the topic of “Leveraging Action Against Global Food Shortages”. During the three days of the conference, our delegates collaborated with students from multiple private and state schools in Sofia as well as with international high-school and university students from Cologne and Munich, Germany.

Members of the ACS delegation were among the sponsors of the only resolution successfully passed by the Assembly. Zahari Pavlov ’24, received the Best Delegate distinction and Velislav Vaglev ’24 was awarded an Honorable Mention.

The ACS MUN team was very pleased with the organization of the event and was delighted to participate in an in-person conference for the first time since early 2020. We congratulate all delegates and their mentor Dr. Zornitsa Semkova.
