ACS Hosts a Workshop for Music Teachers

On March 9^th, ACS hosted a workshop for enhancing the competencies of the music teachers from Sofia schools and kindergartens.

The topic of the workshop was “Teaching Music and the Bulgarian Folklore Heritage.” The event, held in the Concert Hall of the College, was organized by the Regional Inspectorate of Education - Sofia (RIE).

During the workshop, presentations were made by Vanya Arsenova – chief expert at RIE, Professor Dr. Georg Kraev from the New Bulgarian University, Elena Turnichkova – chief expert at the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Science, Binka Dobreva – folk singing teacher at the 144^th High School, and Nelly Vladimirova – music teacher at the 96^th High School and an elective classes vocal group conductor.

At the beginning of the workshop, the ACS choir, conducted by Maestro Ilia Mihaylov, demonstrated vocal warm-up techniques. The guests had the opportunity to enjoy several marvelous performances by the visiting students from the National Music School “Liubomir Pipkov”, the 96^th High School, and the 144^th High School.
