ACS Bridge Club Brings A Trophey Home

Members of the ACS Sports Bridge Club participated in the annual Spring Youth Tournament that took place between Feb.28 and March 3 in Plovdiv.

In the novice rankings our players Aleksandra Stoycheva and Nadezhda Tihova took second place in the Matchpoints competition, and Victoria Mircheva and Krista Zhelyazkova came in third. In the IMPs novice tournament, Anna Rashkova ranked first, playing with a novice partner she had not met previously, since her usual partner did not participate at the event.

For the first time, most of our participants signed up to play in the advanced category in all parts of this Bridge tournament, facing various experienced opponents, including university students up to the age of 25. While our pairs ranked in the middle placements in both the IMPs and Matchpoints pairs competitions, in the school teams tournament our team, consisting of David Kiradzhibashyan, Aleksandra Zlateva, Dimitar Trushev and Matey Pavlov, ranked third overall and won a cup for their placement.
