ACS @ BEST

The American College of Sofia sent a team of 23 students to Lovech for the first national BEST Foundation tournament for AY 2014/2015. A total of 268 students from 27 schools competed in five events – Prose, Original Oratory, Poetry, Duo and World Schools Debate.

Our students won awards in Novice Prose, Varsity Prose, Novice Original Oratory, Novice World Schools Debate, and Varsity World Schools Debate, thus making ACS the Champion Overall School in the Middle Division. For the first time in the history of the BEST Foundation two debate teams from the same school competed against each other at the Varsity Debate finals. 10th graders Kosara Tsoneva  Teodora Tsyankova and Rada Popova won the debate, leaving the second place to 11th graders Stoyan Trenchev, Iva Saramova, and Mihail Georgiev. Kosara Tsoneva ranked first in one more event – Varsity Prose. Congratulations to all participants and their speech and debate coaches!

OVERALL SCHOOL AWARDS
