A College Team Won ACS Debates Open 2022

Over the first weekend of December the American College of Sofia hosted the ACS Open 2022 debates tournament. Organized by ACS seniors Alek Selveliev and Maria Matcheva, the contest was attended by more than 120 students from all over the country.

The Grand Final was won by Spas Stoimenov ’26 and Zahari Pavlov ’24, while Valentin Katzarov ’26 won the Best Speaker prize. The Novice Final pinned 4 ACS teams against one another and the victory went to Raya Hadzhiyska ’26 and Polina Trifonova ’26 while Mia Dimitrova '27 won Best Speaker in the individual novice ranking.
