Topic: Social Media & Adolescence – What Parents Need to Know to Support Their Child

Parenting in the age of social media presents interesting challenges and opportunities. Let’s connect and learn about how social media has impacted relationships, attention span, anxiety & depression, and our overall mental health. Adolescence is a time when our children are forging who they will become as adults and the more we know the better we can support their growth and development.

About Our Speaker:

Joseph Murphy - School Counselling Solutions

With over 25 years of experience as an international school educator, school counsellor and mental health advocate, Joseph Murphy has developed and successfully implemented a 3-pronged approach to school counselling which includes Thriving Transitions, Understanding the Adolescent Mind, and Connected Relationships. His greatest joy comes from working with the enormous potential of adolescents and supporting their journey to adulthood. To support this journey, he finds great professional and personal satisfaction in supporting parents to embrace this period of growth and the changing nature of their parent-child relationship through this pivotal period of development.

We hope you’ll join us for this informative session! The presenter will speak in English, but we will provide a document with the speaker notes translated into Bulgarian so you can follow along with the slides. If you cannot make it to the live event, a copy of the recording will be shared on a secure ACS YouTube page with a link (which you can watch with auto-generated Bulgarian subtitles).

For any questions, please write to us by email at studentsupport@acsbg.org or call the reception and ask to be put through to someone from the Student Support Team.

Best regards,

ACS Student Support Team
