Concert Hall, ACS Campus
Dear Parents,
Dear Alumni,
Join us on February 26 at 4 pm for the Student Activities Fund live-pitch session for student extracurricular projects and activities! Come out to support the presenting students, get inspired by their enthusiasm and wonderful ideas, and see how you too want to get involved!
History
The mission of the Student Activities Fund (SAF) since its founding in 2014 has been to support student-led projects and initiatives by providing financial help- of up to 650 leva per project, project development guidance, and mentoring throughout the full project cycle. The aim is to encourage students to explore their interests outside of the classroom and build a community of committed alumni, parents, and ACS faculty/staff members. By supporting SAF, individual donors and organizations empower student projects and exchanges outside the classroom within and beyond the ACS community.
Last year, twenty projects were approved for funding and fifteen projects were successfully implemented, totaling 5,710 leva of investment. Among the projects: the now traditional ACS Debate Open Tournament, the ACS Model UN Conference (Edition 3), the international Science Fair FISSION (Edition 8), the spring Career Fair, the 30th Anniversary-themed ScavHunt, the Green Business Plan Competition, and the ACS Rock Band & Friends Music Jam. As a result, climbing, ice-skating, and international debate became more accessible to all members of the ACS community, regardless of their financial means; the ACS cheerleading squad got new costumes, while initiatives such as art and local clean-ups brought together our community with neighboring ones.
Can't wait to find out what wonderful projects our resourceful students will be presenting on February 26!
