May 20, 2026 --- With great pride and excitement, we are delighted to share another outstanding achievement of students from American College of Sofia, who once again proved that perseverance, discipline, and true sportsmanship lead to remarkable success! Last weekend, on May 16, 2026, Ivan Trandev (student from 9/1) and Kaloyan Tsonev (also student from 9/1), participants in the Swimming elective course, represented the college brilliantly in the Third Overgas Arena Swimming Tournament, held at "Bulgarsko shkolo".
Through dedication, hard work, and excellent preparation, our two swimmers won a total of 6 medals and left a lasting impression on everyone at the event.
Ivan Trandev earned a silver medal in the 50-meter freestyle event and achieved an impressive 4th place in the 50-meter breaststroke, demonstrating outstanding technique and determination until the very last meter.
Kaloyan Tsоnеv delivered an exceptional performance, proudly winning two gold medals in the 50-meter backstroke and 100-meter individual medley events. Adding to his remarkable achievements, he also secured a silver medal in the 50-meter butterfly.
Their excellent performance also earned Ivan and Kaloyan a special invitation to join the relay team of "Bulgarsko shkolo". Thanks to their teamwork, determination, and strong competitive spirit, the team climbed to the top, winning first place with a commanding lead over the other teams.
These accomplishments are the result not only of talent, but also of persistence and a genuine passion for sports. We are incredibly proud of Ivan and Kaloyan and believe this is only the beginning of many more future successes!
We wish them to continue training with the same energy, discipline, and determination, to preserve their competitive spirit, and to keep striving for new heights and victories ahead!
