19 Medals for ACS at the Math Olympiad in Germany

May 15, 2026  --- At a premier language school where words are held in high regard, our students continue to prove that they are equally fluent in the universal language of mathematics — confidently, freely, and with real brilliance.

At the Math Olympiad in Frankfurt, Germany (April 28 – May 3), ACS mathematicians achieved outstanding success, earning a total of 19 medals — 12 gold and 7 silver. This result reflects not only individual excellence, but also a strong and sustained culture of curiosity, discipline, and deep mathematical thinking within our school community.

The gold medals highlight exceptional performance across all age groups, with students demonstrating precision, creativity, and consistency in solving complex problems. The silver medals further underline the depth of talent within the team and the competitive standard at which ACS students continue to perform.

Individual Standout Achievements:

Simeon Truykov (8th grade): 3 gold medals, including 3rd place on the main math exam and 1st place (perfect score) on the main English exam.

Viktoria Stoycheva (9th grade): 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal, including 2nd place on the main math exam.

Mina Nedeva (10th grade): 2 gold medals: 3rd place on the main math exam and 1st place on the main English exam.

A particularly significant milestone was reached by Vasil Vasilev (8th grade), who qualified for the Bulgarian National Math Team and will represent Bulgaria at JBMO 2026 🇧🇬.

These results also stand as a testament to the dedication of ACS mathematics teachers, whose guidance continues to transform potential into performance and talent into lasting confidence. The participation of the ACS team in the competition was supported by ACS' Ani Ivanova Fund for Young Mathematicians.

Congratulations to all students and teachers for an exceptional achievement that reflects the spirit of academic excellence at ACS!
