Student Activities Fund
Your idea. Our support. Real impact
The Student Activities Fund (SAF) brings to life bright student ideas that make a difference within and beyond the ACS community. Established in 2014 by alumni and parents, the fund provides financial support, along with guidance and mentoring throughout the project development cycle.
SAF’s mission is to encourage students to explore their interests outside the classroom through student-led projects and initiatives that promote academic engagement, artistic and creative expression, and community service. By doing so, SAF fosters connections among students, alumni, parents, and faculty and builds a culture of initiative and collaboration.
Typical projects range from long-standing events and programs, such as the FISSION International Science Fair, ACS Model United Nations, and TEDxYouth@ACS, to new and innovative initiatives in fields like science, technology, the arts, entrepreneurship, and social impact.
Funding decisions are made by a committee of parents, alumni, and educators, based on student proposals submitted and presented during the annual SAF selection process. Donors - both individuals and organizations - make these opportunities possible by empowering students to turn their ideas into action.
If you have a bright idea or questions how one applies for SAF funding, contact the Development Team at advancement@acsbg.org - we look forward to it!
