Part-time English Teacher

External Programs functions as a private language center, located on ACS’ campus and working closely with the college to prepare young learners for an international education. Our aim is to provide a safe and happy learning environment that will foster a positive relationship between learners and the English language. Equipped with strong language skills, students feel empowered to pursue the highest academic endeavours, including applying to study at ACS when they are of age.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • C2 proficiency in English

  • Experience working with children aged 6 to 16

  • Computer literacy, including G-suite

Preferred:

  • CELTA or equivalent

Responsibilities:

  • Teach on Saturday, providing engaging and positive learning experiences for students;

  • Course and lesson planning, in line with the provided curriculum and syllabus;

  • Monitor and track student attendance and progress in a timely and accurate manner;

  • Provide monthly feedback on individual students in order to keep parents up-to-date on learning goals;

  • Write bi-annual reports, providing detailed information on student progress;

  • Create an immersive English-only classroom environment conducive to learning;

  • Collaborate with other teachers and with academic management on lessons, and individualised student plans;
