Dear Students,

You are eligible to receive grants of up to 500 BGN for your extracurricular projects and activities, administered by theStudentActivitiesFund (SAF).

The second deadline for applications is Feb 12, 2017, and the application form is attached below.

SAF was founded by members of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and the Alumni Fund Advisory Committee (AFAC) at ACS. Since last year it is also receiving a generous donation by FiBank.

SAF awarded approximately 2500 BGN in grants last fall alone.

This spring's ACS musical, Fame, will be performed on May 2, 3 and 4, at 7 p.m. in Sulza i Smyah Theater.

Our own science forum FISSION Science Fair will take place on the ACS campus on April 21, Friday. Anyone curious about the wonders of science is very welcome!
The ACS TEDxYouth Club is pleased to invite you to its annual event, this year taking place on April 23, Sunday at the Rainbow Plaza Hotel.

ACS senior Hristo Papazov topped the national round of the Math Olympiad

From March 31 to April 2, a team from the ACS Model United Nations Club participated in the 1st MUN Conference of Pierce - The American College of Greece (ACG) in Athens. More than 400 delegates from Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, and India represented 54 countries in an impeccably well-organized simulation of United Nations Organization’ Committees’ and the Security Council’s sessions, a case of the International Court of Justice, and a session of the General Assembly (GA). Besides their regular debates, each committee also had to solve an urgent crisis.

Seniors Hristo Papazov and Ivan Ganev shared the second place at the Spring Math Competition held in Burgas March 31-April 2 for students in grades 9-12. The competition is a very difficult and prestigious one and as is the tradition, all Math schools in Bulgaria took part. Both Ivan and Hristo earned 25 points, a mere point behind the champion Violeta Naidenova of the Sofia Math School. Way to go!
