COME CREATE SPRING CHALLENGE

In response to the recent instructions from the Health Ministry and other governmental authorities with regard to COVID-19, the ACS Campus remains closed and cancels all spring programs announced for the period April 13 – 16, 2020. Come Create Spring Challenge is inspired by the English in Action course that we recently announced and is compacted into a short-term program in English that encourages experiential learning by enabling students to complete their own projects. It is created by our teachers who have a background in media and film-making, music and design. It is designed to improve students’ overall English competencies with focus on speaking and creative writing, at the same time appealing to young people’s sense of creativity and fun.

Students come up with an idea of a product or a cause and learn through implementing interactive and creative workshops. Every day will lead the students closer to a fully completed product or ready to go promotional materials of their choice like posters, recordings, promotional videos, podcasts, or other. Students will work in teams and will chose to produce in one media genre – e.g. news reports, commercials, or media platforms. They will discuss advertising concepts, shoot a commercial, edit videos and think of ways to make it public. 

At the end of the second day they will be given a 48-hour Come Create Challenge. It is important that they take on the challenge with courage and creative thinking to help them use everything around them in the best possible way! With this we will show them that they do not have to plan for hours or be perfectionists in order to create a good final product.
On the last day they will present their projects. 

The entire program is taught in English. 

Who is the course designed for?

• Children from 11 to 14 years of age
• English knowledge level: minimum required level B1

Timetable
16 April 13 – 16, 2020, every day from 9:30 am till 4:30 pm.
Lunch is served at 12:30, afternoon snack – at 4:00 pm.

Price
Early Bird Registration – BGN 570 (valid until March 21, 2020)
Regular Price – BGN 600 (valid from March 22 till April 13, 2020)

*5% discount on the regular price of both spring and summer school, if you register your child for both programs and pay the fees by April 10, 2020.
**10% discount to current ACS course participants and for a second child from the same family.
***Clients may take the advantage of only one type of discount.  

How to Register
1. Contact our office to have your questions answered and book a placement test.
2. Take your child to the College for a placement test.
3. Book a place by signing a contract and paying the program fee.
*Please note that the registration is completed only after the payment is received.

PLACEMENT TESTS
Every week from Tuesday to Saturday we offer placement tests in the periods specified below. A test takes about 15–20 minutes. Afterwards the teacher gives feedback to the parent. Tests take place only with reservation.

The information you need to provide when booking a test is:
1) Firs name, family name and age of the child
2) First and family name of the person who accompanies the child to the test
3) Which entrance you’ll use to enter the College – Mladost or Malinova dolina. 

Placement test dates in February:
27/2/2020 – 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm & 4:40 pm – 6:30 pm
28/2/2020 – 12:30 pm – 6:30 pm
29/2/2020 – 10:30 am – 12:30 pm

Placement test dates in March & April:
every Tuesday – from 12:30 pm till 6:30 pm
every Thursday – from 12:30 pm till 6:30 pm
every Friday - from 12:30 pm till 6:30 pm
every Saturday except March 28 – from 10:30 am till 12:30 pm

Group Formation
The kids are divided into groups according to their level of English knowledge and their age. Being a friend with another child is not a criterion taken into consideration when forming the groups. Kids who know each other can be in the same group only if their English language level is the same. All children are tested prior to registration. 

We strongly encourage you to contact us early. Places fill up quickly.
