ACS External Programs offer private English language courses for students who are not currently enrolled at ACS, either because they are still too young, they have chosen a different high school, or because they are adult learners. We aim to give our students a strong start in their language learning journey by helping them foster a positive relationship with the English language, form good habits early on, and feel confident as independent learners.

Position Overview:

We are seeking part-time ESL teachers for our groups of young learners who study extra-curricular English on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Requirements:

• a CELTA or equivalent teaching qualification in the field of English as a Second Language
• previous experience working with children of different ages
• computer literacy
• excellent communications skills
• proactivity and a high sense of responsibility and commitment to the education of young people

Responsibilities:

• employ diverse teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles
• assess students’ work in the four language skills and provide constructive feedback for academic growth
