This is a speaking course on self-presentation and self-promotion, teaching you skills you’ll need in every important area of your life: while networking, having a job interview, making a pitch, giving a speech, and being a leader. Being confident and knowing how to properly present yourself, your opinion and ideas matters. Doing it in English opens a world of opportunities. 

Each 2-hour session of this course will teach you how to use English confidently in situations when you need to impress and get noticed. By the end of the course you will know all the techniques of an experienced speaker and will have practiced the following skills:

• Presenting yourself, telling your story authentically 
• Using body language to support your ideas
• Appearing confident in difficult situations
• Giving a professional opinion even if you disagree
• Delivering a pitch
• Being entertaining, Influencing your audience
• Creating and building relationships

Who Is It Designed For?
This course is designed for adults who wish to gain confidence in self-presentation and speaking in public. It is suitable for business people, negotiators, entrepreneurs, state government officials, non-governmental representatives, grant applicants, people who will sit for a job interview or students who will apply for international programs.   

Minimum Level of English Required
This course is suitable for adults fluent in English. The minimum level required is B1+
People with level B2 and C1 will strongly benefit from the course. 

Course Duration
32 academic hours in 16 sessions
The course starts on October 6, 2022, and will continue until February 16, 2023.
The next course will take place in the second semester. 

Schedule
The classes of the current group are held once a week at the American College of Sofia on Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:20 pm. The course is going to take place online in case the Bulgarian authorities prohibit classes in person due to the COVID pandemics.

NB: If all participants in the groups want to have an accelerated course, we can organize the course meetings to take place twice weekly. Please let us know.
